diskThursday 22nd of october – a full day for Metallic Kitty with interviews, signingsession & stuff. I did what any good friend would do and left her completely alone early in the morning and went for a photowalk. Well…she was taking a 2hr bath anyway, so…;))  I came back about 3PM and the interviews were still going on at the hotel. A couple of hours later we all left for the Burrn! Magazine headquarters for the last interview of the day. A really good one, I think! The guy who did the interview was really serious and interested, the interpreter did a great job and Kitty came up with some good thoughts. Hope we can get the interview translated by somebody when it´s printed…? Me and Akira had an important role as quiet sidekicks;)

Next stop was the signingsession at Disk Union.

IMG_1274Lots of fun people and even our friend Yayoi found her way to the shop. It was good to see her again:) Also saw a couple of familiar faces from Loud Park. Everything worked out perfectly and after some meet & greet with fans outside the shop, we went for some dinner with Mats & Akira (Spiritual Beast). They took us to this Izakaya where we got our own booth, lots of great food, some beer and some really clever (?;)) conversations. Kitty doesn´t drink any alcohol, but after a couple bottles of water, she really had it going;) Later we went to this rock club, owned by some friends of Mats & Akira. We also met Yayoi on the way, so she tagged along.

We had a great time with everybody. Too bad we had to catch an early train next morning, so we took the last train to Akihabara (the subway didn´t run anymore) and took the cab back to the hotel.
We miss you a lot, guys!! Next time we won´t book in any trips for the day after;)

flyerEarlier when my friend Takashi asked if he would buy us some tickets to the Loud Park festival, we said no. It was quite expensive, most of the bands play in Sweden all the time (except ROB ZOMBIE!!) and most of all, we thought we had far too little time to spend in Tokyo anyway, so a whole day on a festival…naaahhhh. Why we even discussed it, was mostly because we thought it would be so cool to go to a Japanese festival with a JAPANESE audience:) Then we thought it could be nicer to go to some small metalclub in Tokyo instead.

So…we didn´t buy the tickets and Takashi & Miho didn´t either, because they thought spending time with us was more important. And still they really wanted to go…
Anyway…It turned out that Kitty´s labelguys at Spiritual Beast kindly enough got us on the guestlist, so when Takashi & Miho Arrived to Tokyo on sunday we all went to Makuhari Messe in Chiba for the festival.
We had a great time!! It was really nice to meet everybody and see how things worked over there. Really cool!!!!! And I saw ROB ZOMBIE!!! He was soooo goood!! I didn´t get any good pics because I only took my small camera, but always something to see…I also got all these really really crappy videos. Have to take a good look at them first. Then I decide if there´s something to show you:)

Never been to this Pluto venue before, but I think they´ve already hosted a lot of gigs to this date. Not so much metal, though. Not that I know anyway. REV 16:8 throwed a releaseparty for their latest album “Grand Tidal Rave” and special guests for the evening were Die Hard and Quad DMG (two guys playing black metal on guitar & drums. Strange but cool in some weird way.). I was kindly invited by Claes (REV´s manager) and I was really looking forward to this one.  Curious about REV 16:8…the material on their MySpace sounds really good! And I was going to see Die Hard again!

The backstage area was crowded, smoky and with free beer. I only had one as usual, but the gesture was enough, so thanx a lot Claes. You´re a generous guy!;)  The amazing leatherman Tommy was there and also did some shooting. He´s pics are already online on his facebook…I´m late as always. But here they go (the first ones):

Got a message from Harry who told me that his band Electric Mayhem (wasn´t EM the band Animal played in in the Muppet show??;)) was going to play at a new rock/metalclub in Sundbyberg. He also asked if I could come over to shoot some pics. So I did.
Cool place with ok stage and lights. The sound could have been better, though. The other band playing was the well known Abramis Brama, and both bands got this 70´s groovy sound and look. And today I realized what Abramis Brama means…It´s a FISH!! I always thought it was somekind of hippiechant;))

I love Kafé 44! Especially when it´s a Club Distortion or Luciferian Society event. Everybody´s there and It´s just so NICE!! And in both cases there are always really good bands booked. After Tanto burned down, most of the better things moved to Kafe 44. General Surgery, for instance, will have their yearly Tantogig there:) Too bad I´m not here by then…
Anyway, I took amazingly many whatever pics on das publicum. And some more on the bands and the staff. And the creepy Club Distortion guy…he seemed to be everywhere…

The first hours in Nykvarn was hell. Was so tired I felt sick and I was in a really bad mood.
Seeing Intohimo on the Close Up stage made me feel better already and the Sonic gig and some extracoffee did the rest. Now it was really sad because this was the absolutely last Swedish concert with Roland in the band. Still, I think it will be great with the new guy, Nathan. He´s a nice guy, looks good, and seems to get along with the rest of the band really well. And they tell me he´s an amazing singer. So what else do you need?
He also took care of thIMG_0288at I got some coffee at the hotel in GBG. As I said, a really nice guy;)  Forgot the breakfastpic in the last post so send it up here instead)
The first time I saw Sonic Syndicate outdoors and instead for shooting in the photopit, I kept on using the zoomlens and found my self a good spot on a slope behind the crowd (which was btw going crazy during the show:)) and had a really good overall view.

Last time I saw the Vampyric metalband Lamia Antitheus live was at the Dead Generation festival for a couple a years ago. Back then without Letheus, the original vocalist. They got this female singer instead and I really don´t remember how she sounded like…Anyway, this time there was the full line-up with Letheus (which i used to know as a photographer;)) and all, and they really sounded pretty good.

Nice guys, nice trip…we can do it again anytime! Next time I want one of those t-shirts!;)
