londonThis colourful and eventful day was coming to and end and ARCHGOAT finally got on stage. Despite the circumstances they showed who´s the boss and gave a great performance.

Found myself a good elevated place to stand on and enjoyed a lot the crazy crowd at the venue. The front row people also offered a helping hand or two when needed.
Then there was the aftermath with all kinds of interesting elements. And ofc the cab ride to our place in Hackney. It took our cab drivers awhile to find the place but eventually we got there and We were starving so I took off with my homies of darkness, Egge and Kai, to the nearest place for a night snack. All hail Percefct Chicken!
~The End ~

P.S.The next day we (me and VALKYRJA) missed our flight home, so we finished the weekend in a proper manner. So we hit the bar for some beers (for the guys)and a extra super vitamine smoothie (for me). Death to posers!

P.P.S. For various reasons there will be no Illustrated Roadtrip Report this time. Will attach some snapshots, tho. Huge thanks to both bands for great company!!

londonLong day. Early wake up call, train in many hours Glasgow – London (Nice views!! Lots of sheep:D), straight to the venue (way too long walk to the venue with all the gear) Always kinda cool when organizers care to pick up the bands somewhere. After a long day travelling it´s not on the top of the wishlist to do subways and long walks trying to find the place. Luckily we got full-service Vincent (Gigs in Glasgow) with us so he was in charge. Still, it was a fukken long walk!

VALKYRJA did a great gig! Until there were technical problems and then the microphone died. After some attempts to communicate with the sound booth, just to realize no one was even there, RDSX walked off the stage and the rest of the band followed. Nothing much to do. But at least it was great as long as it lasted:)

And our Vincent had a 10 hr bus drive home to Glasgow and had to leave before this exciting night was even over. Kudos to the guy for all his efforts!!

I´ve seen ARCHGOAT live a couple of times and they´re one of the very best bands out there so I was really happy for the opportunity to travel along with both them and my friends in VALKYRJA for a weekend. The bands already had done lots of touring together so I was the only “outsider”. But everyone was really nice so no problems what so ever. Quite the opposite:) Great times and a freaking awesome performance!

Members: Lord Angelslayer – Bass, vocals Ritual Butcherer – Guitars VnoM – Drums
(also touring with AG: Diabolus Sylvarum adding some atmospheric evil, but staying in the shadows)

Well organized by Gigs in Glasgow. Good venue, good people and very close to the place we stayed at.

First VALKYRJA gig I´ve seen with  Rogier RSDX and he was really great!  Different enough in style to A.L. and shitloads of attitude so it wasn´t that hard to get used to  the change of frontman as it can be sometimes. One of my favourite live bands even with this temporary (but not that strange)  line up containing E.L.  replacing Jocke W. on drums and D.G instead of Thelberg on guitar.

Great musicians both of them and they also joined VALKYRJA on the US tour some weeks ago, so all perfect:)
