“Dødheimsgard (also known as DHG) from Norway, formed in 1994. Dødheimsgard was originally a black metal band, but 1999’s 666 International saw them change into an experimental and avant-garde / industrial metal band. In 2000, they shortened their name to DHG. Their name,”Dødheimsgard” is a contraction of three words: Død which means ‘death’, heim which means ‘home’ and gard which means (at least in this context) ‘realm’. A natural translation into English would be “Realm of Death”.Some former members are Apollyon. Carl-Michael Eide. Fenriz and Kvohst.”

domgardLive on stage for the first time since the start in -97. They were suppposed to play some years ago at the Fornlorn Fest but had to cancel. So this was a historic event!
Also a guest appearance by Heljarmadr (DARK FUNERAL, GRA, CURSED 13) who used to be in the band for some years.

Video clips from this festival are not that many but as I see it, it´s a good thing.

When I was shooting from the back of the crowd, the only things in the air was horns, fists and beer bottles. Not the mobile phone screens as usual. During Mörkaste I saw very few of them at any gig. All respect for the Mörkaste crowd!

Metal Archives: “Formerly known as Dolmen, which evolved via Azathoth, Eternus and Necrotic into Absu in 1991. Calling themselves “Mythological Occult Metal, “Absu” in Sumerian mythology refers to a subterranean ocean. The band draws on Sumerian, Celtic and other ancient mythologies, supervised by Proscriptor.”

“Whoredom Rife was forged in silence during 2013 and 2014 in the outskirts of Nidaros, Norway. The band was founded by V. Einride and K.R in 2014, based on new ideas and ideas dating back as far as the early nineties. The idea behind the band is to breathe new life into the art form and lifestyle that we know as True Norwegian Black Metal.” – Bandcamp
