VICIOUS ART – Club Distortion, Kafé 44 3/10 2009
It´s been awhile (think I saw them last time at Tanto??) but now they were back and as good as ever. A Vicious Art gig you can only leave as a happy idiot:) They make you that way every time. You can´t help it. And they deserved much more mayhem & mosh in the audience, but the alcoholrestrictions (new rules, only 2 beernights/month at Kafé 44 from now on) at the venue, made people feel a bit off I think. Anyway, this gig also made my extrememetalloving friend Eeva finally drag herself to a gig! Her son in law to be is in the band. Hope this wasn´t the last time for her…?;)
Tribulation – Club Distortion, Kafé 44 3/10 2009
OMFG!! I loved the album (The Horror) before, and now seeing Tribulation live, I´m totally lost in it again. Have played the CD on loop in 2 days now;) Amazing album, amazing band, amazing gig!! Can´t say anything else. These guys totally ruled!
Invasion – Club Distortion, Kafé 44 3/10 2009
Didn´t know so much about these guys from Karlstad/Sthlm when I went to the gig, but they weren´t bad at all! Definitely worth checking out some more…They´ve been around since 2006 but this was the first time I got to see them. Hope not the last, though. Some pics for ya further down.
F.K.Û – Release gig “Where moshers Dwell” Kafé 44 29/8 2009
F.K.Û!! Finally!! At last!! Oh, the horror!!! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…(Elizabeth Barrett Browning). The Horror Metal Moshing Machine celebrated their last album “Where Moshers Dwell” with a party at Kafe 44 together with The Ugly, Club Distortion and lots of fellow moshers. The crowd almost moshed the hell of me and my camera when I tried to take some pics during the show so I had to stay in the “safe” spots most of the time. Just for to remeber that there are NO safe spots at the venue. Big thanks to my human shields Findus & Peter, who sometimes tried to keep me from being moshed to atoms.
The sing-a-long song of the evening: The Pit and The Poser.

The Ugly – Kafé 44 29/8 2009
The Ugly is a band I truly love in this world and I´ve only seen great gigs with these guys. Inky is also one of the most weird and charismatic frontfigures in the country.
A couple of things with them I never forget….the intro that blew me totally away the first time I saw them at Tanto for a couple of years (?) ago and the crazy gig at Anchor when Inky jumped right into the moshpit in the middle of a song and all hell breaks loose…and Sophie, who HAS to be used to any kinds of stuff running a metalclub and all, got out of the place ´til things cooled down a bit. Good times:) Fantastic night all together….
This time, warming up for F.K.Û, they were one guitarist short so the sound wasn´t exactly the same, but still it was so goood!! The new album rules also, btw!!
F.K.Û Releaseparty Pt.3 – The…everybody
I love Kafé 44! Especially when it´s a Club Distortion or Luciferian Society event. Everybody´s there and It´s just so NICE!! And in both cases there are always really good bands booked. After Tanto burned down, most of the better things moved to Kafe 44. General Surgery, for instance, will have their yearly Tantogig there:) Too bad I´m not here by then…
Anyway, I took amazingly many whatever pics on das publicum. And some more on the bands and the staff. And the creepy Club Distortion guy…he seemed to be everywhere…
F.K.Û Releaseparty Pt.2 29/8 2009 – The Videoshoot
The band brought along a filmcrew and filmed some musicvid for “The Pit and The Poser” shooting sometime in between theirs and The Uglys soundcheck. The whole gig was also filmed.
F.K.Û Releaseparty Pt.1 29/8 2009 – The Early Hours
Spent the afternoon with F.K.Û (and that strange guy from Club Distortion…?!) at Kafé 44. Lots of pics so I have can´t shuffle all of them in one post. So here´s some soundcheck- and stuff-like-that pics.
Facebreaker + Torture Killer + Demonical – Luciferian Society @ Kafé 44 15/5 2009
The first gig in a long time and it happened to be a really fantastic one! Got to see Facebreaker again along with two other greats: Demonical and Torture Killer. The bands started out their European tour at Kafé 44 and the next stop were Eldfesten in Köping. That´s not so far and the plan was that I tag along with the bands right after the gig. However I didn´t want to stay in a hotel after the festival and I couldn´t find anybody driving to Stockholm at 2AM, so I had to pass. Hope they have a great tour.
Adrian & the Luciferian Society with staff did a great job and made a perfect evening! A very special thanks to Björn who works at the venue. He´s an amazing guy who always looks after me:)
