“Amorphis is a Finnish heavy metal band started by Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari, and Esa Holopainen in 1990. Initially, the band was a death metal act, but on later albums they evolved into playing other genres, including heavy metal, progressive metal, and folk metal. They frequently use the Kalevala, the Epic Poem of Finland, as a source for their lyrics.”

“Finntroll is a folk metal band from Helsinki, Finland. They combine elements of black metal and folk metal. Finntroll’s lyrics are mostly in Swedish, the only exception being the song “Madon Laulu” on Visor Om Slutet. Finntroll’s first singer Katla decided to use Swedish over Finnish since he was part of a Swedish-speaking minority in Finland and the sound of the language seemed to better suit the band’s “trollish” outfit. Despite several vocalist changes, this tradition has since been continued.”

IN SOLITUDE played definitely on the “wrong” boat (kinda different crowd on the first one…) and as a first band on the way back to Stockholm. I guess they were also “slightly” hangover. So of course they played the asses off everybody as they usually do:) A hell of a show once more! Are there still somebody out there NOT knowing about this band??

Sometimes it´s good to see a real rockstar:)
Matti Antero Kristian Fagerholm (born on 17 June 1962 in Helsinki), best known by his stage name, Michael Monroe, is a Finnish rock musician, and multi-instrumentalist who rose to fame as the vocalist for the glam punk band Hanoi Rocks, and has served as the frontman for all-star side projects, such as Demolition 23. and Jerusalem Slim (with Steve Stevens)

Survived one more cruise:) I hate the Fin-Swe boats in general but I love the metalcruises. Thanks to the good people @ Sweden Rock Magazine for always having me: And feeding me. And giving me something to drink:) Anyway, some pics to begin with. Mostly on people I know, love & admire. Some random fun people made it also in the gallery. All the live pics will be uploaded later.

Some pics on my FB page if you want to tag yourself;)
